About the Role
Location: Schaftenau, Tirol, Austria; Warsaw, Poland OR Ljubljana, Slovenia #Hybrid
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads the CDMO Operations in Novartis and continues expanding our CMO-framework, a fully integrated Contract Manufacturing Organization from Phase I to large scale manufacturing with a global footprint, which provides E2E biotechnology, small molecules and cell & gene products to other companies.
- Provides leadership to the CDMO global team and Navigate site, being a role model and further developing into a high-performing team with the right talents and capabilities.
- Define the Vision and Strategy of the CMO unit with a professionalization of the commercial model through innovation and knowledge
- Strong collaboration with several key internal and external stakeholders
Essential Requirements:
- Academic Degree level required as a minimum (Graduate in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy or Engineering to B.Sc. level, MBA)
- Fluent English, additional languages preferred
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Commercial and Technical Operations in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
- In-depth know-how and experience in CMO business and commercial models including financial management
- Proven leadership and change management experience and prior success in building and managing teams
- Ability to work in a global, matrix environment

For this position the minimum salary is € 112,861.28 /year (on a full time basis). In most cases, the actual salary will be higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies. We are open for part-time and job sharing models and support flexible and remote working where possible.
