The AI and Innovation Portfolio Manager supports leadership in the execution of key operational processes for the function in portfolio management, including financial reporting and budget planning, value transparency, demand, resource & vendor tracking to ensure smooth running of the business and achievement of operational targets.
The AI and Innovation Portfolio Manager is responsible for harmonizing and tracking the overall roadmap, managing risks and interdependencies, and overseeing program communications and reporting. This role also prepares and coordinates executive-level reports, ensuring that information is ready for portfolio decision-making, including funding decisions.
The hallmark of this role is the ability to effectively collect, analyze, and generate insights from the Drug Development AI strategy and portfolio to inform cross-functional decision-making. This role requires mastery in converting a complex range of business and product metrics into easy-to-understand and actionable visualizations, ensuring transparency for stakeholders

About the Role

Major accountabilities:

  • Collates inputs to cross-functional vision, strategy, metrics of success, long and short-term objectives
  • Owns the coordination and quality control of portfolio reporting, partnering with Innovation and Product Managers and line function AI points of accountability to enable up to date status review of active programs, updates, issues, risks
  • Create transparency of Drug Development AI portfolio & metrics ensuring alignment with overall innovation strategy while proactively performing portfolio analysis to generate strategic insights to inform decision making
  • Proactively identify opportunities to increase service levels and mitigate any risks or issues
  • Manages governance, preparation and coordination of portfolio decision-making, including funding, of executive reporting
  • Maintain real-time visibility of vendor and partnership operations
  • Oversee overall compliance of the portfolio
  • Collect and respond to feedback and improvement suggestions and drive continuous improvement opportunities
  • Proactively identify operating model improvement areas
  • Creates, evolves and maintains portfolio dashboards to ensure transparency of the portfolio progress, risks, impact etc.

Experience/Professional requirement:

  • Education Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Education Desirable: Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5 + years of experience in major IT transformation project and portfolio management, preferably in the technology innovation context
  • Financial management
  • Demonstrated complex program risk management skills
  • Experience of collaborating across boundaries, interacting with senior stakeholders
  • Outstanding analytical and communication skills, verbal and written
